White Ink on Kraft Paper

I love the look of whitewashed kraft paper, don’t you? This incredibly simple card was made with Distress Stain in Picket Fence. This is a semi-opaque fluid ink, which makes it slightly different from the rest of the Distress Stain line. Because it’s fluid, it creates a slight watercolor effect when you stamp with it, which adds to the soft look of the card.

I happened to find paper and ribbon in my stash that matched perfectly, so I used them to add a little pop of color to the card. I was pretty excited about it, though to be honest with the size of my stash it would have been more surprising if something didn’t match.

And do you want to know a secret? In an effort to do a little stash-busting, I used two scraps of kraft paper for this card and just covered the seam with the ribbon. You’d never know unless I told you, right?
