It’s with mixed emotions that I must share that this is my last week as a craft-at-home mom. Earlier this year, a good friend of mine told me about a job opening at her company, and I decided to throw my hat into the ring. Lo and behold, I was offered the position, and my first day will be Monday.

I am SO excited. The job is a perfect fit for me. Seriously, when I first read the job description it was like reading my own resume. I’ve missed the corporate world over this past 3.5 years, and I’m looking forward to meeting new friends and new challenges.

By the same token, today was my last Make-and-Take at MLO, and I am so sad to leave all the wonderful ladies I teach each week. I keep having to remind myself that I’ll still be there to teach classes on the weekends, and there will be plenty of crops and other events where I’ll see them.

And then there’s the whole leaving Allie thing. I’m totally okay with it–we found a great daycare and I know she’ll thrive among other children–except for the fact that she STILL WON’T WALK. Child, I have been home with you for 14 months. IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK TO SEE YOUR FIRST STEPS??? COME. ON.

Who could leave this sweet face? STOP I KNOW.

But I know everyone’s real worry is about what will happen to this blog (ha!). Fear not! I will continue crafting. Updates may not be as frequent, but they WILL continue. Follow me on Facebook, Feedburner, or Bloglovin’ to keep getting updates as soon as they’re posted, and keep tuning in on Wednesdays for the Inky Linky.

And now, I’m about to teach my husband’s drunk friends how to make cards with Glitter Ritz. Results will be posted Thursday.
