Catching Up

Am I the only one wondering what the heck happened to November? I haven’t even posted a picture of my Halloween costume yet. Of course, I was only home for about a week out of the past six, so that could be why I feel like I’ve missed so much.

We started in South Dakota, on the tail end of our trip to visit Jesse’s grandparents. Just as we were driving away, I got the call that my grandmother had passed away. So, Jesse and I spent 3 days in the car, and then I immediately re-packed and flew home for the funeral.

Granny was sick for several weeks. I sent her this card back in October, and never got around to posting it. Truth is, I didn’t want to because I was trying not to think about how sick she was.

The paper is Jillibean Soup and the image is from The Stamping Boutique.

After the funeral I was back in California for a little under a week. I taught 2 Glitter Ritz classes at MLO–and managed to make a couple of posts featuring those cards. More are coming soon.

Then, we flew back east again for 12 days to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families. It was my last chance to travel before the baby comes, and we had a great time while we were there. (I had another card using this image from TSB, but I left it behind and forgot to take a picture. Oops. I did a really good job coloring it, too.) UPDATE: Dad snapped a picture for me. Here it is:

After T-day, my mom threw me an absolutely amazing shower, which I will have to share pictures of in a later post. We came home loaded with stuff for baby Rita (which is good, because prior to last week we had basically nothing), and arrived at our door to find a huge pile of even more gifts that had been shipped. My family and friends were so generous, and I can’t thank them enough.

Now we’re home, and the house is a disaster. The front room looks like this:

And I’m not even willing to photograph my craft room in its current state. I’ve managed to unpack 2 out of 5 suitcases, and I have this overwhelming need to get everything clean RIGHT NOW. So Why am I blogging?
