IN MY NEW BACK YARD!
Just to be clear, the house is not new, but the yard is. I know I said we were moving way back in May, but we changed our minds. One of the things that really made us want to move was the yard. I wish I’d taken before pictures. It was just…weeds. And mud. See that wall in the back? It’s over 6 feet high. You could see the weeds from the other side. I’m not exaggerating. We had about 6 square feet of cleared space right out the back door where Jesse set up his grill. But other that that it was weeds.
Every 6-8 months, we had it cleared down to mud, and then the process would start over. But this time, our landlord gave us carte blanche to do something nice!
I love it. These pictures are already outdated. In fact, right after we took them Jesse and I set up the fire pit, the grill, and all his potted citrus trees. Then we ran to Target for lawn chairs and tables.
I could live out there, I love it so. This is what living in California is all about.
Of course, we think Herbert likes it the most. Now she has a place to run! And play catch! And run! And sniff! And run!
She thinks the patio is delicious.
And she’s not quite sure what this grass stuff is, but it smells pretty darn good.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve been indoors a little too long.
