This afternoon I got it in my head to make my own butter. And of course, the only thing to do with the leftover buttermilk is to make biscuits. But first I had to go to the grocery store, and then I had to pick Herbert up from daycare, and get dinner (Tuesday night is Pho night). So that’s how I ended up baking at 9:30 pm.
So. Worth it. Though.

Anyway, the recipe was super simple. I adapted it from food.com (the first hit when you google “buttermilk biscuit”). The only thing I changed was that instead of cutting the dough into rounds, I just spooned it onto the cookie sheet for a more rustic look (or because it was easier than digging out a cookie cutter).
They’re so yummy and crumbly. I ate two with the fresh butter, and another one with strawberries. Don’t judge me.
