Another Glitter Ritz/Peel-Off Sticker Card

Christy Copics 10 Comments

Lately my desk has been too much of a mess to break out the glitter, so the other day I decided to make a mess at MLO instead.

I used Cool Highlight Glitter Ritz, and colored with Copics (BG45 and 49 for the vase, G82 for the leaf and stem, and R37 for the flower). I’ve switched from using my colorless blender to a water brush filled with blender solution. I’ve found that with heavy use (like in a class with 8-10 people all passing around 1 marker), the nibs tend to get ruined when you color on glitter. It’s not as big a problem with colored markers because you’re using them so much less. If you’re just doing a couple of cards here and there, you shouldn’t have to worry much about your blender pen. But if you’re producing 50 cards at once you may want to switch just to be on the safe side. It requires a little practice since the solution flows through the water brush differently, but you should get the hang of it after a couple tries.

See? It’s virtually identical to using the blender pen.

This card will be part of my next Glitter Ritz class for MLO, scheduled for June 12. I’ll also be teaching a Copic technique class that day, which means double the fun!
