Thinking Outside the Die

Lately I’ve been really into flowers. So much so, that I decided to invent my own.

I used a Sizzix die to make this, can you guess which one?

Now can you?

How about now?

Yup. It’s the Pine Tree from the Tim Holtz Alterations line. I cut out four trees, and then cut them each into 4 pieces. I used Glimmer Mist and Color Wash to color 3 of the pieces green, and the rest pink. Then it was just a matter of layering, gluing and curling to get this awesome tattered carnation.

I have to admit, I’m still a little bit in awe of my own genius here :o)
