Take A Bow

See what I did there?

Today I hosted the make-and-take at Memories Live On. We made gift bows using this die from Sizzix. Of course, I didn’t take the sample home with me, I was out for most of the afternoon, and I’ve spent most of this evening working on a card that I can’t post until Thursday.

So, I quickly whipped this bow together using ribbon, so I’d have something to show for myself today. It’s a pretty easy process. All you need is a brad and 15 short pieces of ribbon (5 each in 2.5, 3 and 3.5 inch lengths). Then you make loops and poke the brad through the ends. It’s considerably easier with the die, because it cuts all your pieces to the right size and punches holes in the ends of each strip. With the ribbon, you end up with a lot of frayed ends (and nerves).

It’s pretty, though.

I know, I know. I called this one in. I’ll make it up later in the week.
