Card Cupids and Copics

It’s a beautiful day here in Northern California. The temperature is a pleasant 60 degrees (hoodie and flip flop weather-my favorite). The sun is shining, the sky is bright blue, and the mountains are just starting to turn green. But the best part is that the leaves on the trees are actually changing. Last year everything just sort of turned brown and died, but this year it actually looks like fall! Our neighborhood is full of reds and oranges and yellows. Love it.

Yesterday I bought a bottle of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I’m having way too much fun shaking the bottle and watching the pearly water swirl around. Weird. I know. But this stuff is awesome. It adds a nice even sheen to anything you spray it on. I used it on this little guy:

I swear I did. Nice, even sheens don’t show up too well in photographs.

But Glimmer Mist really isn’t the point of this post. The point of this post is that precious little lion up there. This is an exclusive digi stamp made for Card Cupids by Tracy at The Stamping Boutique.  It won’t be for sale until February, but the Card Cupids Blog has a bunch of ways for you to win it before you can buy it, so head over there and check it out.

One way to win is to suggest a name for him. Please do it soon, because I’ve been calling him Merkle and I don’t think he likes it.

In other news, it may just turn out to be a relatively productive day. I’ve already made three cards (I can’t show you the others yet), and I’m in the process of psyching myself up to clean my desk. It needs it, desperately. Also, this happened. Yes, my post on the Crop Spot blog is up. I’m really enjoying writing about Copics. Who doesn’t want an excuse to color all day?

Speaking of Copics, the marker list is pretty much the only thing I can give you for this card since I don’t know where the paper came from and all my other materias and equipment are the same as usual. So…

Lion body – YR21, 24
Lion Mane – E31, 35, 37
Patches – R24, 27, 29
Cart – Y000, 11, 13, 15
Wheels – C1, 3, 5, 7
Background – BG0000

Oh, and Distress Ink Wild Honey for the edges, and Glimmer Mist Dazzling Diamonds for the nice even sheen.
