Something Simple

Christy Ink & Paper 8 Comments

Here’s another thank you note I made, very different from the one I posted yesterday. This is actually the card I made on Saturday (World Cardmaking Day).

I actually made two of these–one blue and one green. They’re simple, but they took me about as long to design as the other one took to make.

Have you noticed I stopped bothering to clear off my desk for pictures? It’s hopeless.

I was going to say this was a great card for someone who doesn’t have a lot of supplies, but then I started listing everything I used to make it and realized more went into it than I thought. But let’s be honest, for the truly addicted, this totally counts as limited supplies.

But, it is a great card for anyone new to using Distress Inks from Ranger. This whole card was made from white cardstock and one stamp pad, just to give you an idea of the versatility of these inks.

After I took the pictures, I decided the “thank you” would look better on 3D Dots than it does just glued to the card. Luckily, the original adhesive I used was repositionable, so that was an easy fix. Just imagine that little piece popped out about an 8th of an inch.

Materials:
Ranger Distress Ink: Tumbled Glass
Katie and Co Stamp: Thank You
Inkadinkadoo Stamp: Dots
EK Success Punch: Lattice
3D Dots

Other Equipment:
Xyron 150
Inksentials blending tool and blending foam
Ranger Mini Mister’
EK Success Cutterbee blade and mat
Marvy Uchida Heat Tool

And, so you don’t think I’m slacking, here’s the card I made today (obviously a variation on a theme).
